Improvisation is often thought of as spontaneous—but like any musical skill, it can be developed through thoughtful and consistent practice. In this session, Arthur Simoes will explore practical strategies for practicing improvisation in ways that build fluency, creativity, and responsiveness. Participants will engage with exercises and approaches that help transform improvisation from an intimidating challenge into a daily artistic practice, with ideas applicable to both teaching and personal musicianship.
