Promoting Dalcroze: FAQ

This page contains commonly asked questions regarding the creation and promotion of DSA events. Don't see your question here? Send us an email and we can help!

How do I handle event registration?

The DSA often relies on RegOnline for its event registration, including workshops and the National Conference. The website allows event hosts to collect participant information and assess payments automatically. The DSA can assist you in creating the registration form. (There is a fee for the RegOnline service.)

Many chapters choose to handle pre-registration over email or a Google Form. These are easy to use, but do require more leg-work by the host to ensure all participants are recorded and charged properly. Registration fees are charged separately, often via check or through PayPal.

Read more about registration considerations here.

What information must appear on the marketing materials?

The DSA Logo must appear on marketing materials, along with all relevant details for attending/registering for the event. If an organization is supporting or sponsoring the event, be sure to include that as well, such as “Sponsored by the New York Chapter of the Dalcroze Society of America.”

What support can the DSA provide for my event?

The DSA wants to help your event be successful! The DSA Administrator is available for consultation and support by emailing admin@dalcrozeusa.org. Once you have the event planned, the DSA can promote the event through its website, newsletters, and social media. Simply send us the information through the Google Submission Form here. Be sure to send us your press release and poster, too!

If your event is affiliated with your local chapter, the DSA may be able to provide funds for presenters and venues. Contact us to find out how.

Where can I find more information?

We recommend starting with a Google search! There are many resources online to assist you with marketing and event planning. After that, you are encouraged to reach out to the DSA administrator at admin@dalcrozeusa.org. We may even be able to put you in touch with an experienced workshop host that can answer your questions.
