Songs are a wonderful way to tie together a Dalcroze lesson – but how to choose songs that will work well and how to use them? Megan Bauer will lead a discussion on how to choose folk songs and brainstorm ways to use them in a Dalcroze classroom.

This session will include sharing favorite resources for folk songs, examples of songs that teach a musical subject, activities that work well with songs, and how to adapt songs to better fit the lesson. Participants are encouraged to bring in examples of tried-and-true songs that they have enjoyed teaching to students as well as songs that would benefit from brainstorming ideas together. Let’s work together to build a helpful library of songs to use in our Dalcroze work!
