Loretta Fois (MFA Choreography, Ohio State; BA Theatre/Chemistry, Holy Cross), is a performing artist, choreographer, and teacher who works with movement, music, language and the visual. As Director of Espressione Corporea Project, she leads Expressive Arts workshops for all ages (www.corporea.org). She is Director of Dance at Raritan Valley College, and leads Creative Arts Cafes with the Alzheimer’s Association. Loretta studies Dalcroze and promotes Dalcroze Eurhythmics as a relevant method of music training for dancers. She has presented at National Dance Education, DSA and American College Dance conferences, and the 2019 and 2021 International Conference of Dalcroze Studies. She is a 2017 and 2011 NJ Council on the Arts Choreography Fellow, and her work has been performed at venues including Joe’s Pub, DUMBO, Ailey Theatre, and Dixon Place. Loretta recently graduated from Salve Regina with a CAGS in Expressive and Creative Arts and is obtaining her Ph.D. in Humanities at Salve.
