Happy spring!

Now is a pivotal season for the Dalcroze Society of America (DSA), as it is for the world at large. Educational, cultural, and social paradigms are shifting. We must adapt. As artists and educators, aren’t we always looking to the future with intention and motivation for change? At the DSA, we’re focusing on nurturing a culture of open, thoughtful communication; intentionally listening as well as sharing rich ideas and perspectives.

Now is a time to step away from our devices and to value human connection and human intelligence. We want to hear from you! Your voice is valuable, whether you are reaching out with feedback or volunteering to lend your energy to one of our initiatives (our committees always need volunteers).

This is also a moment to embrace inspiration and a spirit of collaboration. I warmly invite and encourage you to attend our 2026 conference, with the compelling theme of “Becoming Music, Embodying Change.” The theme shines light on the power of music, movement, and the Dalcroze work to transform not only individuals but our entire communities.

Most importantly, it is a time to celebrate the joy and creativity inherent in our practice. Thank you for spending your attention on this publication, whether online or in print. In a world overflowing with information, our aim is to offer something beautiful, edifying, and genuinely inspiring.
