John R. Stevenson (Jack) holds the Diplôme Supérieur and the Licence d’Enseignement Jaques-Dalcroze with the first prize in pedagogy from the Institut Jaques-Dalcroze in Geneva, Switzerland. He also holds a BM in piano from Duquesne University Conservatory of Music. Jack has taught full-time and certified Jaques-Dalcroze educators for over 50 years at institutions such as the Institute Jaques-Dalcroze in Geneva, Switzerland; Ithaca College School of Music; Laval University in Quebec; St. Laurence College in Montreal, among others. Jack continues to direct the Music Teacher-Training Program as the Outstanding Educator-in-Residence for the Ministry of Education, Singapore. He also trains teachers at the Institute for Jaques-Dalcroze Education in Bethlehem, Pa, offering the Certificate and License. Jack has authored three Volumes of the text Pursuing A Jaques-Dalcroze Education: Solfège, an interactive ebook available on iBooks. He is currently working on a new text on Plastique Animée.
