Does improvising at the keyboard make you nervous? Leslie Upchurch walks us through beginning exercises and provides “improv hacks” to get your improv up and running in no time. The process also teaches people how to teach improvisation, using scaffolding to increase the challenge as students use the suggested materials.

The DALCROZE LAB is a virtual forum for educators to explore the process and pedagogy of Dalcroze Education from anywhere.
Artist-in-Action Seminars invite master Dalcroze teachers to revisit one of their in-person workshops from the DSA Video Library. Participants will watch the original class, hear reflections from the presenter, and join in vibrant discussion with the master teacher and others around the world. All seminars will be archived for you to watch (or rewatch) later.
Skills Workshops are presentations by teachers using Dalcroze in their work and sharing their expertise. Specific topics may include beginning improvisation, Dalcroze in the elementary classroom, Dalcroze and flute performance, and chamber music. Skills Workshops are not recorded.
